Prorel picnic area

Enjoy a unique mountain picnic experience in Serre-Chevalier! Alongside its many mountain restaurants, the Serre-Chevalier ski area offers three dedicated picnic areas where you can enjoy a delicious outdoor meal with a view. Each area is equipped with a plancha grill, perfect for cooking your own grilled food, burgers or whatever takes your fancy. You'll also find tables and sun loungers where you can relax, soak up the sunshine and admire the stunning Alpine scenery. It's a wonderful experience to share with family or friends: a chance to enjoy a relaxing break away from the busy mountain restaurants. Without a doubt, this is our favourite lunch spot in Serre-Chevalier!

A little local tip: Outside the French school holiday periods, you'll usually have no trouble finding a spot. However, around New Year and during the February holidays, these picnic areas can get very busy at lunchtime. We recommend arriving early to secure your place, or waiting until the lunchtime rush has passed. You'll easily find all three locations marked with a BBQ symbol on the Serre-Chevalier piste map. So pack your favourite food, enjoy the sunshine and make the most of a memorable mountain lunch!
